Nathan Eastwood is interested in minimal, abstract aesthetic, and site specific/site responsive work. He is concerned with using measurements and rules to reveal relationships between the art object, viewer and the art space. Nathan Eastwood was born Barrow-in-Furness and he is a practicing artist living and working in London. He studied at UCA (Formerly known as KIAD) 2001-05 and Byam Shaw School of Art at Central Saint Martins, 2008-09. Group exhibitions include Tate the Biscuit, Shoreditch Town Hall Basement, Old Street, London; 17 Ingredients Measures of Autonomy 2009 Studio One, London; ‘Celeste Art Prize’ 2007 Old Truman Brewery London (finalist) also at Lyon & Turnbull galleries, Edinburgh’s Scotland; and Highlights of New Graduate Work 2005, the Metropolis Galleries, Kent.
